Your data isn't shared with any third parties. Swiitr stores everything you write — your profile, your notes about people you're dating, your gut checks, your journal entries — only on your device. There is no Swiitr account, no Swiitr server, and no Swiitr database anywhere. We (the people who built this app) cannot see your data, because it never reaches us.
All entries you create — your Secret Vault profile, people you add, memory diary notes, gut checks, 3-Minute Pause sessions, text check results, and reflection exercise history — are encrypted and saved on your device.
You lock the app using a PIN. If you set an optional decoy PIN, entering it opens a harmless calculator screen instead of your real data. Neither your real PIN nor your decoy PIN is ever transmitted anywhere — they are hashed and compared entirely on-device.
Swiitr is an AI-first app. The Text Double-Check and 3-Minute Pause features are built around AI analysis, and this is on by default — there is no setting to turn it off. When you use one of these features, only the specific message or draft you are actively checking is sent to the AI provider for analysis of that one request. No other data on your device — your profile, your history, other people's pages — is ever included in that request or transmitted.
If the AI provider can't be reached (or there is a network failure), Swiitr automatically falls back to a fully on-device, rule-based analysis engine for that request, so the feature keeps working without sending anything.
Nothing. We do not operate a server that this app talks to. We have no way to view, recover, or be shown your entries, even if you contact us for support. If you delete the app or your device, your data is gone — there is no cloud copy to restore from, by design.
You can delete any person, note, or entry from within the app at any time. You can clear all app data from your phone's system settings (Settings > Apps > Swiitr > Storage > Clear Data on Android, or by deleting and reinstalling the app on iOS). Because everything is local, deleting the app deletes everything.
Swiitr is a self-reflection tool, not a therapist, lawyer, or crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services or a domestic violence hotline in your area.
Swiitr is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Because the app stores data only on-device and we have no server, we have no ability to identify or collect a user's age or personal information.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will ship inside an app update and be shown to you again before you continue using the app. The updated version will also be posted here with a revised effective date.
